Labour Councillors Kevin Hughes and Sarah Lishman have both welcomed the new lighting installed in Litten Gardens. Kevin Hughes said, “It’s important that these spaces are well lit to ensure residents feel safe in their own communities.”

However Labour believes all upgrades to street lighting should be energy efficient and help combat light pollution.
