The City Council Community Awards ceremony took place last month. Labour’s Cllr Sarah Lishman nominated and presented the Swanfield Community Centre with an award to celebrate their work.

Cllr Lishman spoke to the Chichester Post, saying, “Everything the centre does is done with absolute dignity and respect. From the youngest attendees to the oldest, nobody is turned away or embarrassed about their situation.”

Cllr Lishman said, “The services offered from the youth group, coffee mornings, breakfasts and so many more mean the Swanfield Community Centre is the heart and soul of the area.”
