Chichester, Bognor & Littlehampton and Arundel & South Downs host Get General Election Ready Day

Amazing training and networking day held across three constituencies and included a 90 minute discussion with Baroness Angela Smith (leader of the Labour Party in the House of Lords).

I want firstly to shout out to the amazing team that ensured that our ‘Get General Election Ready’ event went smoothly. To our homegrown talent, Adam Fyfe, Pauline Reed, James Sandbach, Mark Todd and Phil Wilson (who despite being ill on the day sent through invaluable plans), our local Labour family members Alison Terry, Heather Robbins & Alan Butcher, there aren’t enough thanks for your time and expertise. The unreal talents of Baroness Angela Smith and Councilor Mark Coates who came on the day and gave us way more time than we could have hoped for, sharing their experiences. Our south coast sea wall foundation builder Beccy Cooper for sitting down with me sharing her brilliance, so inspiring.

Our further afield Labour colleagues who took time to make videos for us, Wes Streeting, Andrew Gwynne & Christian Wakeford encouraging us to work hard for the wins. It was an utterly inspiring day, so many approached afterwards or sent messages through talking about everything they had learned and reflecting on how this is the kind of day that gets you through the days when energy is not so high. Special shout out to lifelong Labour member and my beautiful Nan, Diane Clare, who kept the kitchen producing tea, coffee, food and cleaned everything up afterwards. We all contribute in the ways we can, so reach out if you have an idea of what you can do! SO much knowledge was shared, just reinforcing the knowledge we have that the strength of the Labour Party is its members. We plan to hold more events like this, so look out for them!
