Chichester Labour Party A fresh voice for a fairer, greener Chichester
It has been such an exciting month! We are campaigning in earnest, knowing that we have to work hard to change the belief in Chichester that only the Lib Dems can beat Gillian. We have also been out supporting our neighbour constituencies that had local elections and what a success that was!
Tom has been working hard down in Chichester, this month he has met with many of you who have come along to meet the candidate events, as well as campaigning and all members meetings. Tom spoke to members about his reasons for joining the Labour Party and wanting to run as a candidate, particularly his determination to tackle rural poverty, something he saw first hand living in Midhurst. He laid out his plans for campaigning and his determination to work hard to win Chichester. It was inspiring to hear.
Tom and Chichester members have been spreading the Labour message at street stalls in the town centre, canvassing with local members including City councillor Gareth Hitchman, sharing his views on the impact Labour’s plans for rail will have in Chichester and supporitng Labour colleagues in our twinned seat of Crawley, as well as Worthing and Portsmouth.
On Sunday Tom will be holding a street stall again at the Cross from 12pm and then afterwards there will be canvassing in Chichester South. Join us at the office, Theatre House, Theatre Lane at 2:30pm. Please come along and support!
